Biography

Kiley Holtz - (LHS 2007) inducted for basketball and softball, was a three time Upstate 8 All-Conference and three time All-Area selection in basketball at Larkin High, where she was the all-time leading scorer in girls basketball (2006-2016) with 1405 points.  The Courier News Player of the Year in 2006, Kiley was an All-State Special Mention by the Chicago Tribune and the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association as a senior.  Her  softball career also included three Upstate 8 Conference and All-Area 1st Team honors.  In her junior season, Holtz batted .456 with eight home runs, 23 runs batted in and a .786 slugging percentage.  As a senior, Kiley set the school hitting record with a .466 batting average.  Other post-season honors included being named All-State 3rd Team by the Illinois Softball Coaches Association in 2006 and 2007, as well as Chicago Tribune All-State Special Mention both years, while the Chicago Sun-Times selected Holtz as the #6 Female Athlete of the Year in 2007.  Kiley continued her softball career at Eastern Illinois University as a four year Division 1 player, during which she compiled a .284 batting average, 19 home runs, 30 doubles, and an Eastern Illinois record 121 runs batted in.  As a sophomore, she was an Ohio Valley Conference 2nd Team selection (2009), followed by two Ohio Valley 1st Team selections (2010-2011).  Kiley was captain of EIU’s Ohio Valley championship team her senior season and selected to the Conference Tournament Team.
