Lisa (Stack) Pawlak
Larkin High School Class of 1995
This 1995 Larkin graduate is inducted into the Elgin Sports Hall of Fame for bowling. Lisa is the only female in Illinois High School Association history to place in the top five of the state bowling tournament all four years in high school. She set an Illinois state record in her senior year when she won the IHSA state bowling tournament with a score of 2615. She finished fourth as a junior, third as a sophomore, and fifth as a freshman. While bowling at Central Missouri University, Lisa bowled two 300 games in intercollegiate competition. She was Great Plains All-Conference all four years at CMSU, earning Conference Co-Player of the Year in 2000. In addition, Lisa was named Honorable Mention All-America in 1997, Second Team All-American in 1998, and First Team All-American in 1999 and 2000. As a junior (1998), she took 1st place in the Buckeye Tournament, 2nd place in the Brunswick Great Lakes Tournament, and 1st place in the ACUI Regionals. In her senior year at Central Missouri University, Stack carried a 206.5 average. Stack qualified to compete for Team USA, which is comprised of the top eight male and female amateur bowlers in the country, from 2000 to 2002.
