Flynn Robinson

Elgin High School Class of 1959


Flynn was the leading scorer on the Elgin High School conference champion basketball teams in 1957-58 and 1958-59. At the University of Wyoming, he became the twentieth player on the major college level to surpass 2,000 points. He was named to the All-Western Athletic Conference team three years in a row, leading the conference in scoring each year. He was named to the Helms Foundation All-American team his senior year. Flynn played eight seasons in the NBA, amassing 7,577 points. In his best year with Milwaukee in 1969-70, he averaged 21.8 points a game. He also played for the Chicago Bulls and on the 1972 Los Angeles Lakers Championship team.
