Biography

Brian Rose is a Hall of Fame inductee for wrestling. Rose posted a 37-1 record at Larkin High School during the 1989-90 season en route to the state Class AA Heavyweight Title. He was 113-20 for his high school career (37-1 senior year, 32-3 junior year, 29-8 sophomore year, 18-8 freshman year), setting a school record for career wins. A three-time conference champion, Rose was named to the Wrestling USA High School All-American team his senior season. He was selected the 1990 Larkin Male Athlete of the Year, and he went on to become a national heavyweight champion in the 16-18 age group at the United States Amateur Wrestling (USAW) freestyle tournament. Brian was a four-time freestyle and Greco-Roman USAW state champion in various age groups and won or placed highly in other state and national youth wrestling competitions.
