Anne Vogt

Larkin High School Class of 1992


Anne Vogt is inducted for her outstanding play in softball.  She was a four year varsity player (1989 – 1992) at Larkin during which time she had a career batting average of .442 with 18 home runs and 150 runs batted in.  Vogt was named All-Conference three times as a catcher and once as a shortstop and was awarded All-Area honors three times.  The Chicago Tribune selected her as Prep Player of the Week (April 4 – 11, 1992) for hitting .590, driving in 16 runs and scoring 12, was the Courier News “Player of the Year” in 1992,  and was also named to the Chicago Tribune Super 60 Classic Team.  Anne continued her career at Elgin Community College, where she was All-Conference and All-Region in 1993 and 1994.  For leading all Region IV players in 1994 with a .517 average, she was named NJCAA Division I All-American.  At Judson College, Vogt set the school record for batting average at .524 and received NAIA All-Region honors.
